Mardi Gras isn’t just for New Orleans anymore! Springfield is holding their very own celebration on March 1 with their fourth installment of Mardi Gras on C-Street. Running from 7 p.m. - 1 a.m., the festive event urges all those 21 and older to come out, join in on a variety of carnival-themed activities and let the spirit of Mardi Gras take over – costumes encouraged! This year’s event goers will be able to enjoy an endless amount of activities at six different venues, including face painting, fortune telling, burlesque shows and masked vendors. The signature “Bead Run” will also be returning and held from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m., allowing attendees to receive early-bird drink specials and collect beads as they make their way to each participating venue.
